Software for Building Material Dealers and Distributors

M-Tech Logistics is billing and ledger software for building material dealers. Cement, steel, sand and tiles move in large quantities on credit; the software keeps the contractor's balance, the stock and the cash correct after every delivery.

What problems does it solve for building material dealers?

It solves the four problems that cost a building material dealer the most time and money.

Steel is bought by the ton and sold by the kilogram

One rule, 1 Ton = 1,000 Kilogram, lets you buy in tons and sell in kilograms. The software never assumes a conversion you have not set.

Contractors run large balances over months

Each contractor has a ledger with opening balance, bills, payments and a running balance for every day, plus a credit limit.

Rates of cement and steel move every week

Each purchase is taken into stock at its own cost. The average cost is recalculated, so the profit on a sale is real.

Transport and loading eat the margin

Record transport, loading and fuel as expenses under their own heads. Profit and loss shows them against gross profit.

How is the software set up for cement, steel, bricks, sand, crush, tiles and pipes?

Your account starts with the units, product details and categories a building material dealer uses. You can add, rename or hide any of them.

Units you start with

  • Bag
  • Ton
  • Kilogram
  • Piece
  • Cubic Foot
  • Square Foot
  • Box
  • Trolley

Details kept on every product

  • Brand
  • Grade
  • Size

Product categories

  • Cement
  • Steel
  • Bricks & Blocks
  • Sand & Crush
  • Tiles
  • Pipes & Fittings

Buying in one unit and selling in another needs a conversion rule. How unit conversion works.

What happens when you save one invoice?

A contractor takes 200 bags of cement and 1.5 tons of steel for a site and pays part by bank transfer. The invoice posts the full value to his ledger, the payment to your bank account, and reduces both stocks.

  • Stock of every product on the invoice goes down, in its own unit.
  • The customer's running ledger (khata) shows the bill and the new balance.
  • Money received goes into the cash or bank account you choose.
  • The cost of the goods sold is recorded, so profit is calculated correctly.
  • Reports and the dashboard show the sale at once.

Questions from building material dealers

Can I keep separate accounts for each site of one contractor?

Add each site as its own customer, for example "Ali Builders - DHA site". Each then has its own ledger and statement.

Does it handle grades and sizes of steel?

Yes. Brand, Grade and Size are product details for this business, so 60-grade 4-sutar and 40-grade 3-sutar are separate products with separate stock.

How do I start?

Send us your business name and type on WhatsApp or through the enquiry form. We create your account with the right units and categories and you try it free.

Is my data separate from other businesses?

Yes. Each business has its own login and sees only its own customers, stock and accounts.

Try it with your own cement

We set up your account as a building material dealer and you use it free during the trial.
