Élise Fontaine founded Lumière in a small Parisian laboratory in 2010 with a singular vision: skincare that works as beautifully as it looks. Armed with a doctorate in cosmetic chemistry and an obsessive devotion to clean ingredients, she spent three years perfecting the first four formulas before releasing a single product.

A Vision is Born

Élise Fontaine establishes Lumière in her Paris laboratory, spending three years perfecting the first four formulas in complete secrecy.

2013

First Products Launch

The Radiance Serum and Hydra-Boost Moisturizer launch quietly — sold exclusively through a single Parisian boutique. Within six weeks, both products sell out three times over.
